RETURN TO GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT

Our accredited programs assist injured workers return to optimal functional performance and gainful employment.

Even after physical therapy goals have been met, some injured workers remain unable to return to a demanding job. In these cases, Patient Care Injury Clinic offers several programs focused on returning our patients to work in a full capacity.

Your program may begin with a functional capacity evaluation, which helps measure your strength and endurance to guide implementation moving forward. This evaluation will also help determine a safe functional level for you upon your return to work.

Chronic Pain Management

Our multidisciplinary approach uses the medical aspect of care in conjunction with physical rehabilitation modalities to ensure a speedy recovery.

Chronic pain is an issue for many patients, and can even affect those who have recovered from an injury. Chronic pain can develop due to changes in the nervous system leading to increased sensitivity. For patients who have chronic pain, even normal activities can become a daily struggle.

If your chronic pain is hindering your ability to work or participate in normal social activities, Patient Care Injury Clinic will work with you to develop a program focused on reconditioning and re engaging.

Our team will seek to find any underlying causes of your pain, and develop a customized treatment plan that will help you manage it.

We can help you manage your chronic pain using multiple disciplines as part of a comprehensive plan, including chiropractors, physicians, psychologists, and counselors. We desire a pain-free life for all our patients, and our goal is to create and implement a plan of action that lets you return to normal activity as quickly and safely as possible.

CARF Accredited Program

At Patient Care Injury Clinic, injured workers have the option of participating in one of our two CARF accredited programs – Occupational Rehabilitation Program (aka Work Hardening), or Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Program (aka Chronic Pain Management).

CARF is an international accreditation organization that develops best practices for the provision of rehabilitation services that are focused on the needs of the person served – our patients. CARF accreditation requires ongoing performance management, measurement and analysis that allows Patient Care Injury Clinic to continually provide the best possible service and optimal outcomes for our patients. CARF accredited organizations maintain financial health through sound fiscal policies and ongoing strategic planning.

Our North Houston facility is ONE of TWO facilities in Houston accredited for Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Program, and ONE of THREE facilities in Houston accredited for Occupational Rehabilitation Program.
